Steve Pinkowski , a native Californian, winner of awards for his clever depictions in latex and paint, has designed costumes, props and masks for "The Wizard of Oz" production at the legendary San Gabriel Civic Auditorium including the "Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and the Flying Monkeys", as well as "Simon of Legree, Uncle Thomas, Scientific Dogs, and Guards" masks for "The Small House of Uncle Thomas " scene in the "The King and I" performances at the Claremont Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theater and Fullerton Civic Light Opera . His many accomplishments also include designing props and sets for the Men In Black(MIB) ride at Universal Florida.

Steve volunteers his time performing makeup design at local high school campuses in conjunction with the Ontario Police Department in the "Every 15 minute Program" . Steve transforms junior and senior high students "messed up" to "dead victims", applying gory effects depicting various stages of a drunk driving accident due to drinking and driving after the Prom. He hopes to reach as many young people as possible through this effort to "Think before you drink!"
The Strange Brew, Inc. studio in Upland, California has become an "art department" for local image consulting firms, working with Chamber of Commerce members from all over the Southland and continues to awe and inspire in the areas of design, make-up and creature effects.
In his "spare time", Steve enjoys cycling, sailing and restoring his 1967 Corvette.
